On April 1, 2001, the Small Steps Child Care Services was transferred to the Moose Cree Education Authority from the Moose Cree First Nation. Child Care Services are provided year round from staff who hold Early Childhood Education qualifications and mandatory certificates for First Aid and CPR. A Resource Teacher provides programming to children identified with speech and language delays. The Cree language is taught on a daily basis. There is an active Parent Council to support the management of the Centre. A monthly calendar is distributed to parents and they are encouraged to participate in the planned social events, open houses etc. held throughout the year.
